Antonia Saint NY

Everyone needs that essential pair of black heels and flats that goes with everything. But most of the time, these hurt. At Antonia Saint NY, we believe that you should have beautiful shoes that don’t just make you look great, but they make you feel great too. That’s why we make an essential heel and flat that *looks classic on the outside, and feels like sneakers on the inside.

Created to be a gorgeous, classic shape to compliment absolutely anything in your closet, our *shoes softly hug your feet *with a hidden SoftSurround System™ so that you feel supreme cushion with each step.

Instead of sacrificing beauty for wearability, or accepting the pain of beautiful shoes, we have carefully re-engineered high heels and flats to give you the high-quality support you deserve.

About the Creator

Antonia Saint Dunbar creates solutions for women and others who need them, and most often, products that are in industries dominated by men with minimal innovation. For the first company she co-founded called THINX, she led the design and wrote the patent for the period-proof underwear, while also doing all operations of the company as COO for many years.

THINX most recently became #17 on the Inc 5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in the U.S. and CNBC’s “Most Creative Companies of 2018” in addition to being named TIME Magazine's “Top 25 Best Inventions for 2015,” Entrepreneur Magazine's “Top 100 Most Brilliant Companies of 2016”, and Fast Company's “Top 50 Most Innovative Companies in the World of 2017”. THINX also makes activewear, reusable tampon applicators and organic tampons, and every product comes with a giveback that empowers girls around the world. Her second company, Icon, is an offshoot of THINX that makes products specifically for incontinence and helps fund the Fistula Foundation.

The idea for Antonia Saint NY came when walking to the THINX HQ in New York City and feeling pain in her feet. Similar to when she was working on creating THINX, it was her father’s DNA as an industrial designer that came alive inside of her. She started to think of all the ways she would like to change the shoe to make it a better functional product, and one that actually served women well instead of just looking pretty.

After introducing the new design on Kickstarter to the world on July 25, 2017, 7,000 people came together from around the world to help bring the shoes to life, raising $1.8M in pre-orders, making the project one of the top 120 most funded Kickstarters of all time.

Called a “Feminist Genius” by the press and nominated to Women 2.0’s “Top Founders to Watch,” Antonia is now singularly focused on the women's shoe industry to create products that address both form, and function. She also Co-Founded The Brooklyn Shoe Factory to have a home for the orders she hopes to create in the U.S., with a focus to create and grow jobs as the company scales.

Official Advisor

Dr. Suzanne Levine

Board-certified Podiatric Surgeon Dr. Suzanne Levine is the official advisor to Antonia Saint NY, and one of the Most Influential Podiatrists of 2017 by Podiatry Magazine. She is a highly-regarded instructor, Co-Chair of the International Aesthetic Foot Society and Co-Founder of Institute Beauté.

A self-proclaimed shoe addict, Dr. Levine was inspired by her elite and celebrity-driven clientele to provide a solution for the ongoing effects that come from wearing the designer stilettos we all dream about. After creating several inventions of her own to address high heel pain and other types of shoe problems, she tackled the root of the issue, the shoe itself, and partnered with Antonia Saint Dunbar for Antonia Saint NY.

This is a fitting role for Dr. Levine, as the aristocrats of Manhattan commonly refer to her as the ‘Podiatrist in High Heels’ and she has been a candid supporter and a passionate advocate of women not having to sacrifice optimal foot health for the sake of their undeniable sense of fashion.

As a leading expert and author at the forefront of podiatry with a revolutionary resolve to “provide pain-free beauty,” she has become a favorite on various shows including Good Morning America, The Dr. Oz Show and The Today Show. Over her career of 30 years, Dr. Levine has seen more than 200,000 patients, and she has gained tremendous peer recognition as one of the most internationally acclaimed podiatrists in the industry.
